That heading sounds like it should be a song title eh? Perhaps a 30 minute song written in the style of the 70's progressive rock bands that I love so dearly. Maybe someday. Although in actuality these titles reveal themselves to be the three main topics of this post.
Milk: Thursday afternoon I updated my main website. Then I was hungry so I grabbed a bag of Quaker chocolate rice patty things and a glass of milk. I came back to the computer to update this site and placed the bag and the milk on the computer table. I turned to get something and I knocked the glass of milk over. It went everywhere but mostly it just poured directly into the cable modem. I reacted quickly but the modem was fried. I disconnected it and turned it upside down to drain what milk I could out of it and then I let it dry out for a day. I hooked it up again Friday afternoon and it made a horrible whining sound (which in hindsight I really wish I had recorded) and the internet LED in the modem got dimmer and dimmer so I disconnected it again. I was going to call Comcast yesterday morning but I thought I would try it one more time before I made the call. I hooked it up and it worked. Amazing.
The Goddess: The Goddess Irena 1 has a show from 7:00 to 7:30 P.M. every Thursday on 7,415 khz, which is WBCQ - The Planet on the shortwave radio band. She plays the 12-string guitar and sings. I LOVE her music. Her voice is really nice and her playing is excellent but there is something deeper in her music that I hear and love but I can't describe it. She mostly plays older songs like "Blue Moon" and "Fools Rush In" and things like that. Maybe it's the sound of the home recordings that I like. Her website is http://www.biznetmall.com/goddessirena1/
The Haunted House: How many of you that usually read my blog page have re-occuring dreams? I had a dream last night in which I was at an abandoned house with Chris from "The Sopranos" only he wasn't Chris but some sort of tour guide/friend. He told me at first that the house was brand new but that no one would live there because of what had happened there which he did not disclose. He took me into the back of the house where nailed to a tree I saw a sign that read DEVIL WORSHIP AREA - REALLY. It was like a regular city or road commission sign like "Deaf child in area" or "School Zone". I took a couple of pictures of this sign with my digital camera. At that point he mentioned that there was a cemetary at the back of the house and asked if I wanted to see it. I declined and upon reaching the back gate to go out to the front of the house I noticed a sign on the gate that was kind of like an old movie poster and it read "Black Mamba". I do not know if this was a reference to a movie or what it meant. Out of the top of the sign was a vortex of black smoke rising up in a funnel shape. We walked out to the front lawn in front of the house and I asked him again about the age of the house. He said it was built in the 1940's. Sometimes in dreams I can kind of hover over things. I can't exactly fly but I can raise myself into the air and slowly move over things. I rose into the air over this house and moved over the top of it. The roof looked like any other old abandoned house but I noticed on the right side of the house towards the back about 5 feet up from the roof was a man, bloody and upside down, frozen in place as if he was falling or captured in mid fall. I assumed this was some kind of key to the house's haunting.
Now about a year ago I had a dream about this very same house. I went there with "The ghost people" who I hung out with briefly a couple of years ago. The house was exactly the same. The backyard was the same although there was no "DEVIL WORSHIP AREA" sign on the tree. In this dream however I did visit the cemetary in the back of the house which was a small family cemetary which was creepy but seemingly harmless. On the way out of the back yard on the fence was the sign that read "Black Mamba". There was no black smoke coming from the sign this time. I also did not hover above the house and see the "bloody, upside down" man.
The constants between the two dreams are the house and surrounding property, the cemetary, and the "Black Mamba" sign.
I have had re-occuring dreams before. As a child I had the same dream about 500 times over a 6 or 7 year period where my parents would be gone and I would be watching my younger brother and sister and two black cars would pull up to the house. For some reason I knew that they had come to kill us. I would get the both of them and we would run out of the back door. Once we got to the fence I would lift them both over the fence and I would tell them to run. Then I would be shot and killed.
Another dream I have had probably 100 times or so concerns another house. Sometimes it is abandoned, sometimes I live there and parts of it are not used. Nothing much happens in these dreams other than myself walking around in it and checking things out. It has these huge staircases that come down in a perfect square shape. The house is a mansion and when the dreams concern it being lived in it is very beautiful.
I was just wondering how many of you that regularly read this page have had re-occuring dreams of your own. Post your responses if you wish I would love to read them.
(as a side note to last nights dream I mentioned that I took a few pictures of the DEVIL WORSHIP sign. I anxiously looked at my camera this morning in the slight chance that I did indeed take these pictures in an O.B.E. or "Out of Body Experience". No such luck as I don't think pictures of the new red, white, and blue border that Jackie and Sass put up in the bedroom look much like a "DEVIL WORSHIP" sign.)

That's a pretty messed up (or sequence of) dream. I like it. I'm jealous, though. I've never hovered in a dream or got anywhere close to flying.
But, yeah, I have recurring dreams all the time. I'l write about the two I've had the most.
In the first one, I'm about 4-6 years old and I'm on my front lawn where I used to live on Garfield. It's one of those really hot summer days where the sunlight is just blinding.
I've got three house flies trapped in one of those little yellow butter dishes. My plan is to shake up the flies so that they get dizzy and fly around all crazy after I let them out.
I peel the lid off the butterdish and the flies do fly around all drunkenly, but only for a moment, because they start swelling up and growing. The flies end up being slightly larger than basketballs. Then they start chasing me; flying in a perfect V formation.
I run into my house, where my entire family is gathered in the living room, staring blankly with their jaws moving like ventriloquit's dummies.
I'm screaming and running away from the flies and nobody notices. The dream just continues like that until I wake up.
Damn that was long, screw the second dream. Happy days!
I used to have a recurring dream that I was trapped in a sewer system with Satan. I could look up and see our house through one of the sewer holes. You and the rest of the Fam would be outside, but you never heard me scream. So I would run around the sewers looking for a way out. When I would finally find one, I'd make a run for it, but Satan would chuck a trident in my back and I would die.
I have dreams with satanic references all the time. We should just blame Mom for our dement.
I found this on a dream website...
If you have ever had a dream that kept coming back you were experiencing what is known as a recurring dream. This experience is actually fairly common. These dreams are communications from the inner self to the outer self as is the case with all dreams. What makes these unique is that the same events, the same theme or even a series of episodes that occur much like a soap opera, are experienced by the dreamer.
A recurring dream is like communicating to someone who has his or her attention somewhere other than on the conversation. Whenever you try to get a message across to someone and you have not received that person’s full attention, you will probably need to repeat the message over and over until it is heard by the receiver. Recurring dreams are especially important to understand as they are messages from the inner self to the outer self. The essence of the dream will be repeated over and over until a change is made in the awareness of the dreamer. The need for repetition indicates that the same or similar situation is present in the life and so the same message is pertinent for the dreamer’s progression.
Another type of dream has a recurring theme that progresses much like a soap opera. This type of dream informs the dreamer of his current state of awareness and the next steps for progress in his life. For instance, if an individual has a need to be more honest, this would be represented in a dream by a person of the same sex who possesses this quality of truthfulness. Through the dream episodes there would be interaction with this person who symbolizes the need for greater honesty.
- It could just be a bunch of crap though.
