Links and Stuff.

I finally found out how to post links and a profile picture up on the blogpage here. I have links to my main website and my music download page in the "links" section. I also updated the songs on the music download page to include the last 6 songs from "The Paradise Tapes - Volume 2", the last of the Paradise tapes.

Milk, The Goddess, and The Haunted House

That heading sounds like it should be a song title eh? Perhaps a 30 minute song written in the style of the 70's progressive rock bands that I love so dearly. Maybe someday. Although in actuality these titles reveal themselves to be the three main topics of this post.

Milk: Thursday afternoon I updated my main website. Then I was hungry so I grabbed a bag of Quaker chocolate rice patty things and a glass of milk. I came back to the computer to update this site and placed the bag and the milk on the computer table. I turned to get something and I knocked the glass of milk over. It went everywhere but mostly it just poured directly into the cable modem. I reacted quickly but the modem was fried. I disconnected it and turned it upside down to drain what milk I could out of it and then I let it dry out for a day. I hooked it up again Friday afternoon and it made a horrible whining sound (which in hindsight I really wish I had recorded) and the internet LED in the modem got dimmer and dimmer so I disconnected it again. I was going to call Comcast yesterday morning but I thought I would try it one more time before I made the call. I hooked it up and it worked. Amazing.

The Goddess: The Goddess Irena 1 has a show from 7:00 to 7:30 P.M. every Thursday on 7,415 khz, which is WBCQ - The Planet on the shortwave radio band. She plays the 12-string guitar and sings. I LOVE her music. Her voice is really nice and her playing is excellent but there is something deeper in her music that I hear and love but I can't describe it. She mostly plays older songs like "Blue Moon" and "Fools Rush In" and things like that. Maybe it's the sound of the home recordings that I like. Her website is http://www.biznetmall.com/goddessirena1/

The Haunted House: How many of you that usually read my blog page have re-occuring dreams? I had a dream last night in which I was at an abandoned house with Chris from "The Sopranos" only he wasn't Chris but some sort of tour guide/friend. He told me at first that the house was brand new but that no one would live there because of what had happened there which he did not disclose. He took me into the back of the house where nailed to a tree I saw a sign that read DEVIL WORSHIP AREA - REALLY. It was like a regular city or road commission sign like "Deaf child in area" or "School Zone". I took a couple of pictures of this sign with my digital camera. At that point he mentioned that there was a cemetary at the back of the house and asked if I wanted to see it. I declined and upon reaching the back gate to go out to the front of the house I noticed a sign on the gate that was kind of like an old movie poster and it read "Black Mamba". I do not know if this was a reference to a movie or what it meant. Out of the top of the sign was a vortex of black smoke rising up in a funnel shape. We walked out to the front lawn in front of the house and I asked him again about the age of the house. He said it was built in the 1940's. Sometimes in dreams I can kind of hover over things. I can't exactly fly but I can raise myself into the air and slowly move over things. I rose into the air over this house and moved over the top of it. The roof looked like any other old abandoned house but I noticed on the right side of the house towards the back about 5 feet up from the roof was a man, bloody and upside down, frozen in place as if he was falling or captured in mid fall. I assumed this was some kind of key to the house's haunting.

Now about a year ago I had a dream about this very same house. I went there with "The ghost people" who I hung out with briefly a couple of years ago. The house was exactly the same. The backyard was the same although there was no "DEVIL WORSHIP AREA" sign on the tree. In this dream however I did visit the cemetary in the back of the house which was a small family cemetary which was creepy but seemingly harmless. On the way out of the back yard on the fence was the sign that read "Black Mamba". There was no black smoke coming from the sign this time. I also did not hover above the house and see the "bloody, upside down" man.

The constants between the two dreams are the house and surrounding property, the cemetary, and the "Black Mamba" sign.

I have had re-occuring dreams before. As a child I had the same dream about 500 times over a 6 or 7 year period where my parents would be gone and I would be watching my younger brother and sister and two black cars would pull up to the house. For some reason I knew that they had come to kill us. I would get the both of them and we would run out of the back door. Once we got to the fence I would lift them both over the fence and I would tell them to run. Then I would be shot and killed.

Another dream I have had probably 100 times or so concerns another house. Sometimes it is abandoned, sometimes I live there and parts of it are not used. Nothing much happens in these dreams other than myself walking around in it and checking things out. It has these huge staircases that come down in a perfect square shape. The house is a mansion and when the dreams concern it being lived in it is very beautiful.

I was just wondering how many of you that regularly read this page have had re-occuring dreams of your own. Post your responses if you wish I would love to read them.

(as a side note to last nights dream I mentioned that I took a few pictures of the DEVIL WORSHIP sign. I anxiously looked at my camera this morning in the slight chance that I did indeed take these pictures in an O.B.E. or "Out of Body Experience". No such luck as I don't think pictures of the new red, white, and blue border that Jackie and Sass put up in the bedroom look much like a "DEVIL WORSHIP" sign.)

Quiet Week

This last week has been pretty quiet unless of course you are a devout Roman Catholic or a Michael Jackson fan. I have been pretty tired all week.

At work I have been conducting mechanical equiptment audits at Metro Detroit area Office Depots. This requires getting all the unit information, taking pictures of certain sections of the rooftop units, ect. All in all it's pretty easy work so it's been cool. Yesterday's Office Depot happened to be located right next door to the Edison customer service center in Lapeer where Jackie has been working so we got to have lunch together.

Last night Jackie and I got our taxes done then went to the Olive Garden for dinner. It occured to me last night that perhaps the Olive Garden is a new trendy spot for gays and lesbians? While there I saw three gay male couples and three lesbian couples eating separately. Now don't get me wrong, In my mind there is nothing wrong with being gay. I have friends that are gay and I love them all. I just wasn't aware that the Olive Garden was such a cultural mecca for gays and lesbians.

After dinner we came home and we watched "Napoleon Dynamite". I really, really, really don't think I have ever seen a more horrible movie. It was so awful and unbelievably unfunny. I really wanted to like it but there was no way. My in-laws loved it but I don't see how.

Last night I began feeling the first signs of an oncoming urinary tract infection. I'll leave you with that.

The "Morrison Ballroom"

Hey everyone. I posted on my other website that I would be posting some pictures here of my friend Tommy's house where we played Friday night. His house really is the most beautiful place. It was abandoned at one time but they have fixed it up and it is very impressive.

The gig was ok. There were some sound problems that had to be dealt with. A death occured to one of the amplifiers as well but when the music was good it was good. Tommy was at his rock star best and I played guitar, keyboards, and drums.

Here are some of the pictures (in no certain order) below.
